Tibidabo

It is a beautiful mountain located on the outskirts of Barcelona. From this mountain you have a panorama of the whole city. On the mountain is the Iglesia del Sagrat Cor (the beautiful church of the Sacred Heart) and the amusement park. We still recommend that families, especially those with children, get tickets for the Tibidabo Amusement park, located on a mountain at an altitude of 512 meters.

Sagrat Cor Church

The church, located on Mount Tibidabo, is not as old as most of the churches and buildings in Barcelona! In 1902, the architect Enric Sagnier began to build the church, which was finally completed 60 years later by his son Josep Maria Sagnier. This neo-Gothic church is accessed by two large staircases. Inside the church, an elevator takes you to 560 meters for an even more beautiful view! there are a number of stairs from there to reach a height of 575 meters, just below the statue of Jesus at the top of the church.

Tibidabo amusement park

This century-old amusement park has six “levels” of attractions. Level 1 is at the lowest point and level 6 is right at the top of the mountain, which is also called “The Sky Walk”. At the highest level, you will find the Ferris wheel, the Talaia (which takes you to an altitude of 550 meters) and an aerial attraction that turns on the side of the mountain. On the first level, you will find the roller coaster, the Tibidabo Express, the rocking boat, the walk in the tree trunks! The other levels are also filled with fun rides! In total, the park has almost thirty rides and recently also has four of its own mascots called Ti, Bi, Da and Bo. This amusement park is perfect for a nice day out with the children, but also for having fun with the adults!

The Tibidabo amusement park is divided into two sections: one for children, with all the classic rides, and the other, called the Sky Walk, for those looking for a little stronger sensations.

This theme park is all about games, entertainment and adrenaline. Children can have fun on Mount Tibidabo with a multitude of activities: mysterious castle labyrinths, trampolines, bumper cars, giant swings and roller coasters. Your ticket to the park also includes access to the Sky Walk, an altitude walk offering exceptional views.

Here are some of the main rides among more than 25 attractions :

Girabado (Ferris Wheel)

The Ferris Wheel, inaugurated in 2014, takes the views of Barcelona to another level, literally! Located at the highest point of the mountain, it offers a breathtaking view of the city and the sea. Don’t forget your camera to capture Instagram-worthy memories!

Talaia

This merry-go-round, dating from 1921, looks like a long thin structure with steel cages at each end. Although some people call it the “scariest ride in the world”, this is undoubtedly exaggerated, but the view it offers is truly spectacular.

L’avió

This is the first flight simulator in the world, a replica of the plane that made the first commercial flight of Iberian Airlines between Barcelona and Madrid in 1927. At the time, the honorary passenger was King Alfonso XIII.

Roller Coaster: A thrilling ride that offers thrills while flying over the slopes of Mount Tibidabo, with breathtaking views of the city.

Mina d’Or: An immersive adventure through an old gold mine, where visitors board a wagon to explore mysterious tunnels.

Museum Automata: A fascinating collection of ancient automata, some dating back to the early 20th century, offering a journey back in time with mechanical characters.

Carousel: A classic and charming merry-go-round that delights young and old alike, perfect for a relaxing break while admiring the view.

Hurakan: A thrill ride where visitors are turned and shaken at high speed, reserving strong adrenaline surges.

Avió Pirata: A pirate ship that swings back and forth, offering moments of floating and strong emotions for the whole family.
